DV Fresh

In 2016, DV Fresh had the opportunity to purchase the neighboring property (20,000m² of additional industrial land). However, fully building on the site with 8-meter high halls turned out to be too large of an investment. Thanks to a layout and accompanying logistic concept developed by Logflow in a 17-meter high building, the necessity for additional construction could be reduced to just 10,000m². The layout was designed in such a way that both the existing lower company halls and the new building are optimally utilised. It will be possible to further expand within the existing footprint soon, by adding an additional intermediate floor in the production part of the new building, for which the necessary provisions have already been made.

DV Fresh is the Belgian market leader in the cutting and packaging of vegetables, and also produces ready-made meals. From Pittem, DV Fresh delivers fresh products to Belgian retailers and food services thanks to its own fleet of trucks. The company also exports to France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Germany. Innovation is central, with an in-house R&D department that develops advanced cutting techniques, creative recipes, and personalised packaging in collaboration with customers and universities. The multicultural team guarantees quality, under the leadership of founders Dirk and Hilde Verkinderen.
