Logflow analysis and solution
- Masterplan hospital logistics
A thorough analysis of all logistics flows and activities — from pharmacy and warehouse to kitchen, cleaning, and sterilization. Identification of which logistics activities were best suited for centralization at the new site. Developed with a long-term vision for the logistics and facilities platform at De Prijkels, including inter-hospital logistics flows and room for future growth and external partnerships. - Conceptual Design
Development of the layout and logistics concept, based on detailed analyses of volumes, master data, and processes. Guidance and advice on the selection of logistics equipment, automation, WMS (warehouse management software), and logistics partners. - IT & system integration
Alignment of all systems and processes through one coherent technical design, in collaboration with WMS providers and external partners. - Implementation & testing

About the Logistics and Facilities Platform De Prijkels – Maria Middelares
Maria Middelares is investing in a centralized logistics and facilities platform in the De Prijkels business park in Nazareth. This site plays a key role as a central hub for supplying its four clinical sites in Ghent, Deinze, Aalter, and Gentbrugge.
With this new location, Maria Middelares centralizes key logistics processes such as the storage and distribution of medical supplies and medication. This creates additional space at the existing care sites, allowing healthcare teams to fully focus on their core mission: delivering high-quality patient care.
The site combines a modern warehouse with flexible office spaces and strongly emphasizes sustainability, safety, and innovative technology. As a result, efficiency is improved while the impact on the care environment and transport is reduced.
